Purpose of Course Series

This course series exposes developers to the architecture and programming toolset of SyteLine 7 and SyteLine 8 through orientation and practice. Upon completion, the student will be prepared to approach his/her first custom form or report project.

This series is presented in a workshop format. It consists of instructor-led discussions, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, reviews and Q&A. Some materials will be provided. The series is taught by developers who have real world experience with the product. These courses are taught at your location.

Experienced developers who intend to modify, customize, enhance, or interface programs with the Syteline standard system.

1. Familiarity with SQL programming and administration.
2. The following products must be pre-installed:
   1. SQL Server 2000
   2. MS Visual Studio including VSS and VB6 with SP5 or higher
   3. SL7 or SL8
   4. Object Studio
3. The following must be pre-installed on each client:
   1. Database
   2. Utility Server
   3. Administrative Client
4. Loaded PC and projector for instructor’s use.

Formal training in T-SQL, VB, and C disciplines is not included in this training session.
